Peacock continues to staff up its new Office. Melvin Gregg (American Vandal, Snowfall), Chelsea Frei (Poker Face, The Cleaning Lady) and Ramona Young (Never Have I Ever, Santa Clarita Diet) have been cast in Peacock’s upcoming Untitled Greg Daniels/Michael Koman mokumentary which is set in the same universe as Daniels’ NBC hit The Office.
The trio join previously cast Domhnall Gleeson and Sabrina Impacciatore.
In the Office followup, created and executive produced by Daniels and Korman, the documentary crew that immortalized Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch is in search of a new subject when they discover a dying historic Midwestern newspaper and the publisher trying to revive it with volunteer reporters.
Also exec producing The Office offshoot are Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant, Howard Klein, Ben Silverman and Banijay Americas (form. Reveille), auspices behind the original British series and/or the NBC version. Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, is the studio.
