Here’s the trailer for the upcoming slasher horror film titled Trope, which is a BET+ Original Movie. The movie is a throwback to the classic slasher movies we grew up with but with a meta element.
In the movie: “Tracey’s final wish for a peaceful retreat with her best friends and their daughters turns into a blood-soaked fight for survival.
“As secrets of their past experiments unravel, and a relentless force stalks their every move, the real challenge isn’t just surviving… it’s what awaits them next. Will they make it out alive?”
Trope is directed by B. Harrison Smith (Death House), who says: “[The project] came from an original script I wrote and tailored for BET where I wanted elements of 1981’s Ghost Story peppered throughout.”
The movie stars Claudia Jordan, Caryn Ward Ross, Leslie Segar, Jazz Anderson, and Asia Harmony .
Trope will premiere on BET+ on September 12, 2024.
