Roommates, Jalen Hurts has taken a major step towards being off the market for life! The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback revealed that he recently proposed to his longtime girlfriend, Bry Burrows.

Essence exclusively reported the Hurts’ life update on Friday (Sept. 13). Photos shared by the outlet show Jalen and Bry cheesing near a romantic set-up of lit candles, red roses and petals, and a musician playing a small violin. It appears the proposal happened around sunset with the beach as their backdrop.
Bry wore a white sundress paired with open-toe sandals and styled her hair in long cornrows. Meanwhile, her now-fiancé rocked a white button-down shirt with black pants and white sneakers.
The outlet didn’t reveal when the engagement took place. However, Essense noted that on Sept. 6, Bry Burrows showed up to the Eagles vs. Green Bay Packers game in Brazil wearing her giant rock! Fans and social media users have since been speculating that the pair got engaged, and the beautiful photos show they got this rumor right.
What We Know About Hurts & Bry Burrows’ Relationship
As mentioned, Jalen Hurts and Bry’s connection began long before the Eagles drafted him in 2020. According to Essence, Jalen and Bry met while they were both studying at the University of Alabama. They are both members of the Divine Nine. Bry is an AKA (Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.), and Hurts is a Que (Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.).
While his career is constantly in the spotlight, the engaged couple tend to keep their relationship out of it as much as possible. They went public with their romance in January 2023 when she joined him on the NFL field after the Eagles won the NFC Championship.
Last year, he appeared on Essence’s May/June cover. In his interview, Hurts revealed that he’s known for a long time that Burrows is the one!
“I knew a long time ago,” the quarterback said. “I mean, to this point in my life, that’s an irreplaceable feeling. I think that’s what allowed us to get to where we are now.”
Months later, in October, Burrows joined her man on the red carpet for the Time100 Next Gala.
