Hopeless Records continues to ring in its 30th anniversary, enlisting a handful of musicians from their roster for a revived covers compilation. We’ve already heard a bunch of them, including Sweet Pill on the Wonder Years and Bayside on the Weakerthans, and now Pinkshift are tackling illuminati hotties’ Let Me Do One More cut “Knead.”
Produced by Bartees Strange, the Baltimore punks rev up the energy and build the song into a chugging, intensified romp that makes good on Sarah Tudzin’s original. The band recently played a string of shows across the East Coast with the Gaslight Anthem and put out their love me for the summer remix EP in July, which was mastered by nightlife’s Hansel Romero.
