YFN Lucci found himself the subject of a disturbing social media rumor on Wednesday, claiming that he had been killed in prison. However, according to TMZ, the rumor is entirely false.
Lucci’s lawyer, Drew Findling, who defended him during the RICO trial that led to his 10-year prison sentence in January, has confirmed that his client is safe and in good health.

As we previously shared, Lucci entered a guilty plea to one count of violating the Street Gang and Terrorism Prevention Act, but there is a possibility that he could be released as early as January 2025.
In January 2021, he was charged with murder after authorities alleged that he was the driver in a gang-related drive-by shooting that resulted in a man’s death. Under a plea agreement, prosecutors dismissed 12 out of the 13 charges against Bennett, and he ultimately pleaded guilty to one count of violating the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act, according to his attorneys.
“After three years of pretrial litigation, more than two weeks of jury selection and three years of incarceration waiting for his jury trial, today, the prosecution finally relented and dismissed the murder and RICO charges against Rayshawn Bennett,” defense attorneys Drew Findling, Gabe Banks and Marissa Goldberg said at the time. “As he has maintained for three years now, Mr. Bennett will NOT cooperate in any other case.”

There are theories suggesting that the recent rumors regarding Lucci’s death were fabricated to manipulate the intense emotions that arose after the passing of his former labelmate, Rich Homie Quan, earlier this month.
Quan, whose real name was Dequantes Lamar, was discovered deceased at his residence at the age of 34. The cause of death has not been revealed yet.
