Mondo has a great poster for sale for the classic 1980 horror movie The Changeling. The print was created by artist David Seidman, and if you’ve never seen this movie, you should!

The artist shared: “As an artist whose work is heavily influenced by haunted imagery, THE CHANGELING is a movie that delivers so much through its storytelling, atmosphere and visuals.

“The abandoned antique wheelchair and possessed red ball have become so influential in the horror genre and icons on their own. Using these objects prominently helped me set the scene to perfectly capture the tone and atmosphere of one of my favorite haunted house movies.”

Art director Josh Manderville said: “Collaborating with Joel Michaels, the producer for THE CHANGELING, we shared David Seidman’s work alongside examples of classic horror paperbacks of the ’70’s and ’80’s.

“We wanted to honor the narrative of the original one-sheet with the haunting surrealism of David’s work. Seidman captures the classic horror cover style using the mysterious puzzle pieces that allowed John Russell to uncover the truth behind the Carmichael house and make amends with his own ghosts.”

The Changeling is a psychological horror film directed by Peter Medak. The story follows John Russell (George C. Scott), a composer grieving the recent loss of his wife and daughter. Seeking solace, he moves to an old, eerie mansion in Seattle to focus on his work.

However, his peaceful retreat turns dark as he begins to experience unexplainable supernatural events within the house. Strange noises, disturbing visions, and the presence of a mysterious child’s spirit compel John to investigate the history of the mansion.

He uncovers a chilling mystery involving the spirit of a young boy who was murdered decades ago, leading him down a path of disturbing revelations.

As the ghostly encounters intensify, John discovers that the child’s death was part of a larger conspiracy involving powerful figures. His investigation into the haunting brings him face-to-face with terrifying truths, as the ghost seeks vengeance.

The film masterfully builds suspense and dread, emphasizing psychological horror over gore, which are the horror films that I prefer. The movie is praised for its slow-burn tension and haunting portrayal of grief intertwined with supernatural mystery.

This is a limited edition poster of 140, and if you want one, you can click here and get it for $80.
