“Saltburn”s Emerald Fennell will be at the helm of “Wuthering Heights,” according to Deadline. Fennell is also responsible for writing, directing, and producing “Wuthering Heights.”

The publication also reports Robbie’s production company LuckyChap Entertainment will also be involved in bringing the production to life. LuckyChap’s roster includes last year’s “Saltburn,” starring Barry Keoghan, and more recently “My Old A**,” featuring “Parks and Rec” alumna Aubrey Plaza.

Film company MRC is also involved. The indie film company is responsible for multiple Acadamy Award-nominated films and contains a TV division as well, as per their website.

Robbie’s performance as the legendary doll made her mark on moviegoers everywhere, but she was memorably left off the nominee list for Best Actress.

The “Babylon” actress eventually responded to the backlash while speaking at a special SAG screening of the film, reassuring fans she was not upset over the oversight.

“There’s no way to feel this sad when you know you’re this blessed,” Robbie said. She also added it was “wild” that the film received eight Academy Award nominations. She also proclaimed she was feeling “ecstatic” over the accolades!

Although Robbie did receive an Oscar nomination for her work on “Barbie,” the fact that her acting in the film was not recognized did not sit well with Robert Downey Jr.

The “Less Than Zero” actor was nominated alongside Gosling in the Best Supporting Actor category, proclaimed Robbie was not “getting enough credit” for her work in “Barbie,” especially in comparison to other well-known actresses in the film.

Downy Jr. mentioned the memorable speech given by America Ferrera’s character in the film and also mentioned the underrated work Robbie does in the particular scene.

“This is a weird non-sequitur, but Margot Robbie isn’t getting enough credit, in my opinion- because America [Ferrera] has this amazing speech and she nails it,” the “Iron Man” star said. “But it’s the cut away to Robbie so actively listening. It’s when I realize, oh, okay, now I see Greta [Gerwig, the film’s director]’s really on to something here, but it was Robbie who had to trust [her],” he added.

Greta Gerwig, who also directed the coming-of-age film “Lady Bird,” was nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay for her work on “Barbie.” However, film fans were also unhappy about Gerwig being left off of the list for the Best Director category.

Robbie called Gerwig’s work on “Barbie” a “once-in-a-career, once-in-a-lifetime thing,” and proclaimed 2023 was “an incredible year for all of the [nominated] films.”
