Alexis Bellino’s relationship with John Janssen has been steeped in controversy since the two began dating almost a year ago. Now, Alexis Bellino is speaking out about her and John’s wedding plans, their current living situation, and more including Luann de Lesseps recent shady comments about her not being a girls’ girl.
The RHOC star sat down for an interview with Bravo TV and discussed her recent engagement with John. When asked if they have started planning their wedding, Alexis said, “We have. We are looking for hopefully next summer and we’re just trying to secure a venue. We’re not doing a typical wedding; we’re changing it up. We have a couple of creative ideas.”
She continues, “I don’t know the dress style yet. I’m not wearing a wedding dress. I’m not walking down an aisle, but my son James did ask to give me to John, so we’re going to have to figure that out since I don’t want to walk down an aisle.”
“We’re thinking 100 or under, but we’re already at like 80 people just with family and close friends, so I don’t know what it’s going to look like,” the RHOC star adds.
When asked if she and John plan to buy a home together, Alexis said, “I mean, we pretty much live together right now, anyway. We bounce back between both homes. We decided we’re going to keep both homes. I have twins in high school still. We don’t want to uproot anybody from their normal, so we’re gonna keep both homes for a while. When the twins graduate, we’ll decide then.”
The 47-year-old explains, “Of course, we’re gonna buy a home together when we decide to not have both homes, but, until then, we’re just back and forth.”
As for John’s proposal, Alexis said, “It was super exclusive, super romantic.”
She elaborated, saying, “We were talking about our whole relationship of the past nine months. We were both welling up with tears a little bit, and emotional, and just how happy we were. And he was just like, ‘I can’t wait anymore.’ And he was holding the ring, and he didn’t know when he was going to propose, during that time… He just said, ‘I just love you,’ and I don’t even remember anything he said now because you just forget… We were just he and I.”
“It’s laughable because I keep saying that I was not prepared at all — I didn’t have the hair, the makeup, the outfit isn’t what I would have chosen. We only had positive [feedback] from friends and family about it. Everyone knew it was coming,” she notes.
Meanwhile, Alexis Bellino also recently did an interview with Page Six where she talked about Shannon Beador’s upcoming dating show on Peacock.
According to Alexis she hopes Shannon finds love so that she can officially move on from John.
“Well, thank God, maybe she’ll stop obsessing about John and I. That would be amazing and we’re praying she’ll find her Mr. Right, it would be fabulous. We do hope she does, though. It would be great,” Alexis quips.
During the interview, Alexis also discussed Luann de Lesseps’, who is set to star alongside Shannon on Peacock’s Love Hotel, recent comment that she would never bring her boyfriend around her.
Alexis responded to the shade, saying, “Why wouldn’t she bring her boyfriend around me? I’m getting married.”
