Cal Kestis, the main character from the popular Star Wars Jedi video game franchise, is reportedly going to be making his live-action Star Wars debut.
While there aren’t a lot of details, reliable movie insider Daniel Richtman says that “Cal Kestis is coming to live-action on Disney+.”
That seems like a common sense piece of information that anyone could pull out of their hat because it really is only a matter of time before Cal makes his live-action debut.
The big questions are, will the character appear in another project? Will he get his own series? Will it be both, where he is introduced in another series and then spinoff into his own? We’ll just have to wait and see.
One thing we do know is that the final chapter of the game franchise is currently in development, so when that series ends, his live-action story could pick up after those events. It also makes complete sense that Cameron Monaghan would reprise his role.
Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy previously talked about the possibility of a live-action Cal Kestis project, saying:
“I’ve seen a lot of chatter online about that. [Laughs] It could be really interesting. It’s not something that’s front and center right at the moment, but what’s interesting in the company that we do is that everybody across all these different lines of business, we all talk to one another.”
