Al B. Sure! has taken legal action against Amazon and the unknown publisher of a controversial book that falsely claims to be the memoir of the late Kim Porter. The book, titled “Kim’s Lost Words,” has topped the bestseller list, but the singer is working to halt its sales, claiming it contains damaging and defamatory information.

Page Six reports the self-published book, released under the pseudonym “Jamal T. Milwood,” claims that the singer, real name Albert Joseph Brown III, was engaged in sexual activity with Porter and Sean “Diddy” Combs. He has denied these allegations, describing them as “disgusting” and “heinous,” and has sent a cease-and-desist letter to Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, CEO Andy Jassy, and the book’s author, Todd Christopher Guzze, who goes by the name Chris Todd.
The letter, issued by Sure!’s attorney Robert J. Hantman, demands that the book’s immediate removal from sale and a public apology. Additionally, it states the book “falsely portays Mr. Brown as engaging in fabricated sexual conduct,” which has significantly harmed his reputation. The document also warns if the demands are not met within ten days, Sure! will pursue legal action for defamation.

Earlier this week, Porter’s children — Quincy, Christian “King” Combs, D’Lila, and Jessie — released a statement denouncing the book, calling it hurtful and false.
“We have seen so many hurtful and false rumors circulating about our parents, Kim Porter and Sean Combs’ relationship, as well as about our mom’s tragic passing, that we feel the need to speak out. Claims that our mom wrote a book are simply untrue. She did not. And anyone claiming to have a manuscript is misrepresenting themselves.”
Guzze claims he has sources who allegedly gave him information from Porter’s alleged hard drive. However, he confirmed he had uncertainty about the book’s authenticity.
