Boosie Badazz‘s daughter Poison Ivi has opened up about the frustrations she feels around her father’s incessant comments about her sexuality.

On Friday afternoon (September 27), the up-and-coming rapper, born Iviona Hatch, took to Instagram to share an emotional, nearly 15 minute-long clip directed at her father.

“I’m completely fed up with holding my tongue #imhumantoo NEW TAPE IN OCT [100 emoji],” she captioned the post. “smh papasmurf u can feel how u feel everybody is entitled to they own opinion but every chance u get you will not just bash me it’s not about u accepting it because I don’t need u to IM GROWN !! it can be you simply don’t like it and move on … you always rude [100 emoji] love you always !!”

She started the video: “Man, I really don’t even know where to start for real, because this ain’t really my character. I don’t really be getting on here and giving y’all what y’all want. But I feel like my daddy want me to give y’all what y’all want; and he want me to give him what he want as well.”

In the first few moments of the video, Ivi explained that her decision to speak out about her dad’s well documented homophobia was prompted by his recent live interview with Yung Miami. During a live taping of her Caresha, Please podcast, recorded during REVOLT WORLD in Atlanta last Sunday (September 22), Boosie made a statement in which he seemingly accused his daughter of “contaminating” her siblings.

As she grew visibly upset and more emotional, Poison Ivi poured her hear out, detailing her bond with her siblings and the amount of respect she feels towards her father, despite his numerous public statements about her sexuality and even more hurtful statements he’s made to her privately.

“If the world really knew all the things and the hurtful things you told me before and I forgave, you wouldn’t even understand,” she said. “And no matter how you feel? At the end of the day, n-gga I’m yo blood. I am your daughter. And me, I feel like I done been through the most with you. And every time, I turn around, it’s like you bashin’ me. And it’s like, the whole world can go against you, but as a woman, since I been a lil girl, I never would go against you. And I think, I’m really fed up.”

She went on to call her father out for often using religion as a condemnation of her sexual orientation, despite never having been the one to teach her about faith.

“He talkin’ about God and how I grew up. I know MY God from Neeta, from my mama. My mama send me scriptures every morning. My mama put me in the Church. I don’t recall not one time, me getting up with you and you taking me to the Lord’s house. I didn’t learn that from you. I learned the hustle from you. I learned not to let nobody play with me from you; even if it’s you!

“And it’s crazy because, I never downplayed you. I never said you was a bad father, because you not! You gon’ make sure yo kids straight. You always gon’ do that. But emotionally? Mentally? You suck. And I know you suck with that because you rather go to the internet and have a conversation with the internet about your kids, before you come to us. He done did bout six, seven interviews bout me being gay.”

Poison Ivi continued: “He ain’t never not had one sit down with me, myself just him and Iviona and asked me why you became that way, Fat? What triggered you?’ It never been that. Every question y’all askin’ him, and he givin’ them answers? If I go ask him that, he wouldn’t give me an answer. The things that he do bruh, I woulda never thought he would do.

“And it’s like, I came to the point to where, yesterday, it just really did it to me. Because, I’m like bruh: I would always not say something because I would feel like, I’m not finna get on here and disrespect my pops. I’m not finna get on here and go against the grain and go against my daddy; nobody finna make me do that. But it’s like, you making me do that, they not even make me do that. You making me do that n-gga, ’cause you steady speaking on me.”

She went on: “Like, I would respect if you just say, just one time just say, ‘My daughter know how I feel about that, can we move on to the next question?’ I can never get that from you. If y’all go look at my interviews, y’all would see: anytime they try to make it seem like my daddy don’t fuck with me or he this and that, I say, ‘He love me regardless. This my pops. I ain’t goin’ against him. Y’all ain’t gon turn me against him,’ I always stood on that. And it’s like I feel like you just don’t be carin’. You don’t care about my feelings no more.”

In February of last year, Boosie Badazz opened up about his daughter Poison Ivi coming out as a lesbian, saying he and his family struggled to “accept” her sexuality due to their religious beliefs, but still love her regardless.

The Baton Rouge native joined DJ Vlad for another explosive interview, where he reflected on the moment he learned about his oldest daughter’s sexual preferences even though he has vehemently bashed homosexuality in the past.

“Even though it won’t be accepted as far as — because I don’t want nobody in my other family to think it’s okay,” he explained. “But what she does, we’re gonna love her to death. But at the same time, our Southern family has never been that way.”

Boosie continued: “I learned of it through social media. Like you, I woke up to it… She never came to me and talked to me about relationships.”

It should be noted that during her video commentary, Poison Ivi refuted her father’s account of the moment he found out she was gay. You can watch the statement in full below.
