The 6 Most Influential Artists According to Bose x SPIN Decades of Sound 2024

SPIN invited various artists to join us in our Decades of Sound collaboration with Bose, celebrating the speaker company’s 60th anniversary. Sublime’s Jakob Nowell, singer-songwriter Griff, rapper Killer Mike, The Postal Service’s Ben Gibbard, The Last Dinner Party, and legendary Bad Brains frontman H.R. sat down with us and shared their favorite aspects of their top decade of music. Here’s a roundup of our artist collaborator’s picks of the most influential artists from their favorite decade in music.

1970s — Kate Bush

“Kate Bush. She did everything independently. She owned all her masters, and she was uniquely herself.” — Georgia Davies, The Last Dinner Party
