Julian Casablancas is the latest guest on the SPIN Presents Lipps Service podcast, during which he and host Scott Lipps discuss his band the Voidz’s newest album, Like All Before You, the making of the music video for “Prophecy of the Dragon,” his songwriting approach and how the Voidz are different from his original band, the Strokes.

Casablancas touches on his earliest musical influences (especially Lou Reed and Bob Marley), his dream collaborators, working with Rick Rubin and Daft Punk, politics, aliens and fulfilling his major-label record contract. He also shares his top five movies and new artists.
