Whew! Chicago rapper Lil Reese has found himself back in the slammer. His latest arrest follows serious allegations involving his former girlfriend.
Nearly two weeks after an arrest warrant was issued, the Chicago artist was apprehended early Monday morning for aggravated assault against a family or household member and was denied bond, TMZ reports.
Sources told the news outlet that he was hanging out at The Address nightclub in Houston, Texas, Sunday night when police became aware of the rapper’s presence and detained him. A photo captured at the scene shows him being escorted to a police vehicle, with a serious mug on his face. His mugshot was also released where he can be seen with the same expression.
Per the news outlet, the rapper’s legal troubles stem from an alleged incident at The Pink House nightclub in Houston, where he reportedly struck his ex-girlfriend in the face and attempted to choke her after she rebuffed his advances. The victim recounted to authorities that she struggled to breathe and feared for her safety during the altercation.
Witnesses, including the woman’s friend, reportedly saw the incident unfold and called for security to intervene, highlighting the seriousness of the situation.
So far, Lil Reese’s attorney, Carl Moore, has yet to release a statement on his latest arrest.

Lil Reese now add to the list of rappers who have been accused of assault this year. As we previously reported rapper Diddy is currently facing serious time in prison following his arrest earlier this month.
The business mogul was arrested in New York sex trafficking and racketeering charges. From around 2009 and for years, he allegedly assaulted women by striking, punching, dragging, throwing objects, and kicking them, according to the indictment that was unsealed.
If convicted, Diddy could face at least 15 years in prison.
