Cardi B and Offset were on “very bad terms” at the time she found out she was pregnant with their third child earlier this year.
The Bronx superstar took a moment to talk to fans from her hotel room in Paris on an Instagram Live on Sunday night (September 29). During the chat, she revealed that she and her estranged husband had no plans to work on baby number three and she found out amid a busy period of work.
“This is around the time that I’m promoting, promoting, promoting the fuck out of [my single] ‘Enough,’” she explained. “So I’m like damn, I’m pregnant. But I’m not really thinking much of it. Me and my baby dad — we were on very bad terms. I still called him and we kind of laughed about it because it was like, ‘What the fuck? That shit is so random.’
“We literally went to Colombia because he went with me when I got my surgery [at the beginning of the year]… In 2024 I knew I only had sex on Valentine’s Day and before I got my surgery.”
Cardi B and Offset’s newest baby girl arrived on September 7.
“The prettiest lil thing,” the “WAP” rapper wrote in a post with flower emojis and the baby’s birthday. She did not confirm the name, however.
In her carousel post, Bardi beamed with pride as she held her youngest daughter. Additional photos included daddy Offset having some chest to chest time and big sister Kulture and big brother Wave getting their moments with their newest family member as well. Auntie Hennessy also stopped by to meet her new niece.
Baby Bardi will share celebrations with her brother Wave moving forward, as his birthday is just three days earlier.
Despite their pending divorce, Cardi and Set got together to celebrate their son as he turned three earlier this month with an airplane-themed party.
Cardi’s decision to file for divorce for Offset (for a second time) was reported on August 1 by TMZ, with the outlet claiming that the Bronx rap star’s decision isn’t related to cheating rumors, which have plagued their seven-year relationship.

A source close to the couple said at the time that the divorce filing had been “a long time coming” and Cardi and Offset have simply been growing apart for a while.
The insider added that the Hip Hop power couple made an effort to reconcile earlier this year, but were unable to work through their issues.
Things seemed amicable at first, but tensions have since been growing, with Offset recently accusing Cardi of cheating on him while she was pregnant, which she defiantly confirmed in an Instagram Live.
