Sai De Silva came across some misinformation about her husband, David Craig, as she browsed the web earlier this week. And in addition to setting the record straight about her and David’s wedding date, she shared new details about their marriage.
Seven years after she and David tied the knot in a courthouse in Brooklyn, the 43-year-old Real Housewives of New York City star shared a family photo taken after the nuptials, admitting that she wore a “ridiculous outfit” and revealing the odd place she and David chose to celebrate with loved ones.
“This is the day I got married in 2017. I wore this ridiculous outfit. I literally got married in Zara jeans and then called all my friends [afterward] to have tacos at a restaurant called Electrica,” Sai shared on her Instagram Story on September 30, adding that her son, Rio, now 7, was just three months old.
In another post shared on her Instagram Story, Sai, who also shares daughter London, 13, with David, Sai corrected a PEOPLE report that claimed she and David “have been married since 2009.”
“My husband continues to be a hot topic. Let’s get something straight,” she wrote. “I got married in 2017. We met in 2009. I had both children before we actually got married. However the rest of the story outlining how I met my husband is correct.”
In a third post, Sai signaled her fans and followers to her YouTube page, where she shares regular updates about her day-to-day life, fashion, and her family.
“I love that I have a paper trail of my life on the internet. If anyone is looking to research me, just go to my YouTube page. The info is all there,” she stated.
In the video shared with Sai’s post, the RHONY cast member and her husband were seen responding to a series of questions sent to her by fans. And after sharing that they go out for date night on Tuesday or Thursday — or both — and that they are considering a “do-over” for their wedding, David revealed how he knew Sai was the one.
“I was pretty smitten with her right away,” David admitted. “I thought she was one of the most beautiful women I ever saw. She was confident. She was funny. She shared a lot of the same sort of views on life … So it started off with a great attraction but when I knew she was the one after dating her for a while, just knowing someone that is that driven … it’s a very attractive quality to have in a partner.”
“When I saw her drive and her passion and her total outlook on life, I just knew this was a woman that I would want to spend the rest of my life with,” he added.
