Heather Gay reflected on her drama with Real Housewives of Salt Lake City co-star Bronwyn Newport on Wednesday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live.
As Heather, 50, continues to be suspicious of Bronwyn, 39, particularly regarding her contradictory demeanor toward Whitney Rose, 38, she shared her initial thoughts on the newbie while also reacting to Britani Bateman‘s brow girl drama, the latest feuds of the show, and more.
“I knew Bronwyn socially a little bit, and I’d met her before. I like Bronwyn. I get her. She’s not, like, 100 percent my cup of tea, but I appreciate so many things about her and want to get to know her more, but I just really got off on the wrong foot,” Heather admitted on the WWHL: After Show.
Heather didn’t like Bronwyn’s behavior toward Britani amid her relationship drama with Jared Osmond, nor did she like what she was saying about Whitney when she wasn’t around.
“When Whitney said she loved her and was so supportive of her, I was like, ‘Either I’m reading it wrong or she’s playing both sides,’” Heather recalled.
During a poll on the live broadcast of WWHL, the audience was asked if they were on Team Bronwyn or Team Heather. And while the poll initially leaned to the side of Bronwyn, Heather teased, “Wait wait, dear viewers, just wait. Wait and see.”
Looking back on Angie Katsanevas, 50, coming forward with Jared’s interaction with her brow technician, Heather agreed she should have “absolutely” told her and noted that regardless of their relationship status, it was “a betrayal on some level.”
While Whitney has said that Lisa Barlow, 49, has always been a villain, Heather didn’t seem so sure, telling a curious fan, “Think of our villains. We’ve had some notorious villains.”
Moving on to Mary Cosby, 51, Heather said she believed Mary’s father sniffed out victims of Jeffrey Dahmer and noted that she’s “stealing the show” amid season five.
“She’s so happy. I think there’s a new spirit in Salt Lake City … There’s a lightness, and I think Mary’s picking up on it, and I think she loves her friendship with Angie, and that’s been fun,” Heather admitted.
During a game of “Marry, Shag, Kill,” Heather was asked to choose from a series of Bravolebrities.
“I will shag [Jax Taylor], I will marry [Tom Schwartz], and I will kill [Jesse Lally],” she shared of The Valley cast members.
As for the cast of Summer House, she said, “I will shag [West Wilson]. I will marry [Carl Radke]. And I will kill [Jesse Solomon].”
Also during the game, Heather said she’d love to “shag and marry” Southern Charm cast member Austen Kroll, 37, shag Below Deck‘s Captain Lee Rosbach, 74, because she has “a thing for him,” and marry Joe Giudice, 52, but “not sign any papers.”
“I am going to shag [Mauricio Umansky], and I’m gonna marry [Lenny Hochstein] for the money, and I’m gonna kill [Tom Sandoval] for [Ariana Madix],” she added.
Also on the live broadcast, after confirming she did not receive any retaliation from Jen Shah‘s squad after revealing she was the one who gave her a black eye amid season four, Heather reacted to a fan who wanted to know why she was upset with Whitney for saying she wasn’t a liar when she lied so long about who had injured her.
“I never said I wasn’t a liar. That’s a preposterous thing to say. We have all lied. No one has been on the planet Earth without lying one time, so to make that type of universal statement, I’m gonna challenge it,” Heather explained. “I wasn’t saying I wasn’t one. I was just saying let me contend with that one.”
Later, on the WWHL: After Show, Heather was asked whose side she was on when it came to Angie’s feuds with Lisa and Meredith.
“Angie K. and Lisa is tough for me because they had a very, very strong friendship, and there’s a lot of love there, so I’m really rooting for them,” Heather replied. “Angie and Meredith I have no hope for, and I’m on Meredith’s side because Angie just comes at Meredith, and she won’t let it die.”
Heather then thanked Andy Cohen, 56, for the opportunity to appear on RHOSLC, saying that the series “rescued” her.
“It was like a ship that came in. It pulled me out of a very dark, very hopeless state and gave me a second lease on life,” she shared. “Women in their 40s and beyond don’t usually get an opportunity to have this type of experience, but then also this platform. I’ve been able to write books. I’ve been able to meet people. I’m sitting here on television with you. I never saw any of this in my future. So thank you.”
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season five airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
