For context, National Boyfriend Day took place on Oct. 3. While many celebrated the heartfelt holiday, JT missed the opportunity to show love to her boyfriend.
In response, the internet didn’t miss the moment to call out the ‘Okay’ rapper. Some fans questioned her silence, given that the couple has been dating on and off since 2019.
HotNewHipHop reports that JT ultimately hopped on Instagram Live to clarify the situation. In a clip shared by Live Bitez, the artist explained that she wasn’t in the best place on National Boyfriend’s Day and honestly forgot about it.
“I was PMS’ing,” JT said. “I was mean… like so b****y to my man.”
However, to show her love and appreciation for Uzi, the Miami femcee revealed that she actually had a post saved for him.
As the video continues, the former ‘City Girls’ rapper explains that even though she was prepared, she held back. Ultimately, she wants to share her personal life with her fans but feels she’s “just not that girl.”
“And I want to become that girl. I want to break out of it. And I want to start being more posty and letting y’all know, I got a man… I love my man and I love my life and my home and I love my family. And I love my career and everything about myself,” the ‘No Bars’ hitmaker said.
