This week’s retro trailer is for the 1971 horror movie The House That Dripped Blood. I’m a fan of horror anthology films, and this anthology movie was directed by Peter Duffell, and it is based on a collection of short stories by Robert Bloch.

The final story, “The Cloak,” involves a pompous actor who buys a cloak for a vampire role, only to find out the garment has supernatural powers.

The connective tissue of the plot is an investigation by a Scotland Yard detective into the house and its strange history, uncovering the eerie connections between the tenants and the house’s sinister nature.
