Amadeus Cho, one of Marvel’s brightest and most unique superheroes, is reportedly set to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
According to Hollywood insider Daniel Richtman, Ghostbusters: Afterlife star Logan Kim has been cast as Amadeus Cho in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While the exact timing or project for Kim’s debut as Cho is still unclear, it has been confirmed that the character will appear in the upcoming Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. Given Amadeus Cho’s connections to other characters, there’s speculation that he might also show up in Captain America: Brave New World, particularly with The Leader, a notable Hulk villain, confirmed for that movie.
Created by writer Greg Pak and artist Takeshi Miyazawa, Amadeus Cho made his first appearance in Amazing Fantasy vol. 2 #15 in January 2005. The character is known for his remarkable intelligence, being one of the smartest people on Earth in the Marvel Universe. Over time, Cho’s character has become a significant figure in the Marvel comics, not only for his brains but also for his eventual transformation into a Hulk-like superhero.
Cho’s transformation into the Hulk takes place in The Totally Awesome Hulk #1 (2015), where he takes on the Hulk mantle after Bruce Banner. Unlike Banner, who viewed his Hulk powers as a curse, Cho embraces his newfound abilities with confidence and enthusiasm. Eventually, Cho nearly loses control over his Hulk persona but manages to regain his sense of self, leading to a new form known as Brawn. The shift allows him to retain his powers while balancing his identity, just like She-Hulk.
