Iman Shumpert recently found himself tangled in dating rumors with Amber Rose, but the athlete-turned-dancer is making it clear that they are just friends!
Rumors began swirling last month after the two were spotted hanging out together at the beach in Miami. While fans quickly jumped to the conclusion that they were involved romantically, others pointed out that Amber and Iman have remained close friends ever since they appeared on the BET reality series “College Hill: Celebrity Edition” last year.
Now, Iman is speaking out to set the record straight. In a conversation with @seleahsimone, the NBA champion stated that he and Amber are indeed just friends. He emphasized, “that’s my people.”

So Who Is Iman and Amber Rose Dating At The Moment?
Iman Shumpert has been a single man since his ex-wife, Teyana Taylor, filed for divorce after seven years of marriage. The singer and actress initiated the divorce proceedings in January 2023 but kept the filing a secret for 10 months. The divorce was finalized in June 2024.
Currently, it remains unclear whether Iman has re-entered the dating scene, but what is evident is that he has been quite busy with his professional commitments.
As for Amber Rose, the model has been single for a while now as well. Her last known relationship was with her baby daddy, Alexander AE Edwards. This relationship ended after she publicly criticized him on social media for allegedly cheating on her with 12 women.
“I’m tired of getting cheated on and being embarrassed behind the scenes. All 12 of y’all bums (the ones that I know of there’s probably more) can have him,” she expressed in an Instagram post from 2021.
“Y’all very much knew he was in a relationship with a baby and y’all decided to f–k him anyway. I saw all the texts and DM’s,” she continued. “Y’all were well aware but y’all don’t owe me any loyalty so it’s whatever. I can’t be the only one fighting for my family anymore.”
Despite their breakup, which occurred even after they welcomed their baby boy, Slash, together, it appears that Amber and Alexander have managed to come to amicable terms. He has since moved on with music icon Cher, and they seem to be going strong.
