Netflix has released a new batch of Virgin River Season 6 photos while also revealing when the next season of the romantic drama will arrive on the streaming platform.
When does Virgin River Season 6 come out?
Virgin River Season 6 will return to Netflix on December 19, 2024, when all 10 episodes release globally on the streaming platform. Directors for the sixth season of the series include Martin Wood, Rama Rau, Felipe Rodriguez, Martin Henderson, and Monika Mitchell.
“Against the backdrop of Mel and Jack’s romantic spring wedding season, this sixth installment promises fresh twists and turns, escalating love triangles, delightful wedding drama, as well as uncovered secrets from Mel’s father’s past which will transport us to the magic and mystique of Virgin River in the 1970s,” reads the sixth season’s synopsis.

Virgin River stars Alexandra Breckenridge, Martin Henderson, Tim Matheson, Annette O’Toole, Colin Lawrence, Benjamin Hollingsworth, Zibby Allen, Sarah Dugdale, Marco Grazzini, Mark Ghanimé, Kai Bradbury, and Kandyse McClure. Season 5’s directors include Monika Mitchell, Felipe Rodriguez, Martin Wood, Jem Garrard, Andy Mikita, and Gail Harvey.
The series originally premiered in 2019 on Netflix and follows the story of Melinda “Mel” Monroe, who moves to the remote Northern California town of Virgin River to work as a midwife and nurse practitioner. The series then follows the ongoings of the town, and how Monroe acclimates and develops relationships with those in it.
