The creators of the hit series Ghosts, Laurence Rickard and Ben Willbond, have found their next project with an animated series that they will develop for Netflix titled In Case of Emergency.
The film is said to take inspiration from Family Guy and the story is set in a British hospital. Big Talk produced a six-minute animatic pilot, with members of the British comedy community providing voiceover work.
There’s not more information to share on the project. Big Talk is collaborating on the project with Blue Zoo Animation Studio, a British animation company known for children’s shows including The Adventures of Paddington.
Big Talk CEO Kenton Allen said the company was approached by Netflix to create an animated series for them.
Netflix UK chief Anne Mensah and Julio Bonet, the streamer’s London-based manager of adult animation, are overseeing the project.
