Monarch Season 2 has added Amber Midthunder, with the breakout Prey star joining the Apple TV+ sci-fi drama in what’s described as a heavily recurring role.

Who is Amber Midthunder playing in the Monarch Season 2 cast?

Although specific details are not mentioned, Midthunder will play a character named Isabel in the Monarch Season 2 cast. A brief description notes that Isabel is a powerful and intelligent businesswoman.

The Monarch: Legacy of Monsters cast also includes Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell, in addition to the Emmy-winning Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, Mari Yamamoto, Anders Holm, John Goodman, Joe Tippett, and Elisa Lasowski.

Monarch: Legacy of Monsters was renewed by Apple TV+ in April, after becoming one of the platform’s breakout hits in terms of viewership. The streamer struck a deal with Legendary to develop an expansion of Legenday’s Monsterverse after the success of films such as Godzilla vs. Kong and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. The Apple TV+ show takes place in the wake of a massive battle, focusing on two siblings following in their father’s footsteps to uncover their family’s connection to the secretive organization known as Monarch.

Hailing from Legendary Television, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is co-developed and executive produced by Chris Black and Matt Fraction. Matt Shakman directs the first two episodes and serves as executive producer alongside Joby Harold and Tory Tunnell from Safehouse Pictures, Andy Goddard, Brad Van Arragon, and Andrew Colville.

Known for her acclaimed lead performance in the sci-fi horror film Prey, which garnered a Critics Choice nomination. Midthunder’s other credits include The Ice Road and Rez Ball. Previously, she starred in shows such as FX’s Legion at FX, Roswell, New Mexico on The CW, and Netflix’s live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender. She’ll next be seen in the films Novocaine and Opus.
