Sophie Lobl has been named vice president of Rolling Stone Live, overseeing strategic operations, execution and talent bookings across the division. Lobl, who is based in Austin, TX, will report to Rolling Stone CEO Gus Wenner.
Most recently, Lobl created the FairWell brand for the festival in Bend, OR in 2022, including booking talent, managing the team, overseeing operational budgets and curating fan experiences. This year, FairWell hosted artists including Kacey Musgraves, Caamp and Billy Strings.
Lobl previously served as the global festival promoter for C3 Presents, booking talent for Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, Echoland Music Festival and Lollapalooza Stockholm. Lobl was instrumental in the creation of Lollapalooza Stockholm and forming the partnership with Live Nation Sweden. She has also been responsible for the concept behind the campground experience at the Manchester, TN festival Bonnaroo, developing 10 different stages and activations including The Sanctuary of Self Love with Hayley Williams from Paramore, Where in the Woods and House of Yes.
