Mary Cosby explained why her husband, Robert Cosby Sr., no longer films for The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City while appearing on Watch What Happens Live on Wednesday.
As she also shaded The Real Housewives of New York City, reacted to Meredith Marks, 52, spreading rumors about Whitney Rose‘s business, and addressed Heather Gay‘s weight loss transformation, Mary, 51, offered an update on her son, Robert Cosby Jr., 21, and admitted that Robert Sr. was holding a grudge against Bravo.
“He’s good. He’s really good. He’s a man and they hold grudges. Once he gets over his grudge-holding, he’ll be better and he’ll probably show his face more,” Mary explained on the October 9 episode of WWHL.
“Is he holding a grudge towards us?” Andy Cohen, 56, replied.
“Yes,” Mary confirmed. “Not you in particular, just how he was treated. But not you, Andy, he loves you. He just doesn’t trust [the producers]. He doesn’t want them to give him bad press.”
According to Mary, she believes she “should” be watching other Real Housewives franchises, but she hasn’t yet done very much of it.
“I’m working on it. I watched [RHONY] recently, but I fell asleep, only because it was almost over I think. No offense,” she stated.
During Wednesday night’s episode of RHOSLC, Meredith brought up rumors about Whitney’s Prism business. When asked if she felt Meredith did so out of retaliation against Whitney, 38, amid their bath bomb drama, Mary admitted it was possible.
“Yeah, probably. I don’t know but if I had to think of that, probably yeah,” she shared, noting that she hoped the Alibaba rumors were not true.
The first few episodes of season five have shown a different Mary than past seasons, which Mary credits to the fact that she is simply a “happier” person.
“It’s real life and I feel like I’m better with all the women. I feel like they’re better with me. I’m not stomaching them anymore,” she explained.
During a game of rapid-fire questions about her castmates, Mary was asked about how Heather, 50, transformed after her “inbred” diss.
“She looks great. But I liked her both ways,” Mary replied.
As for how “little girl” Whitney has grown up, Mary said, “She apologized to Robert Sr. and I for everything she said, and she meant it, and I feel like that’s growth.”
Mary then spoke of how Bronywn Newport, 39, was better at style than her.
“She’s better at wearing banana and hot dog suits than I will ever be. Ever,” Mary suggested, giving a nod to Bronwyn’s unique looks.
Moving on to her son Robert Jr., who recently entered rehab for substance issues, Mary said that while he’s “good,” he’s “not soaring and flying out of the nest yet.”
Also during the live broadcast, after confirming she and Angie Katsanevas, 50, are close “right now,” Mary admitted to missing her church “big time” as she spoke of the venue’s remodel.
“It’s almost done, We’re doing the seats right now, but once the seats are finished, we’ll be done,” she revealed.
Later, on the WWHL: After Show, Mary was asked if she was surprised that Bronwyn didn’t have a prenup and questioned about whether she had one with Robert Sr.
“No, I do not have a prenup, and no, I’m not surprised,” she replied. “I’m not surprised because I feel like, probably when she got married, during that time, I don’t know, I just feel like she felt like she really loved him, and a prenup just kind of puts that little hesitant, like, ‘Don’t take my money,’ type of thing, and I just feel like he didn’t feel like she would do that.”
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season five airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
