Pharrell & More Shine At Star-Studded ‘Piece By Piece’ Premiere

The stars were out for Pharrell‘s Phabulous Piece By Piece premiere that brought out his fellow tidewater titans Teddy Riley and The Clipse along with N.O.R.E, Aldis Hodge, Shameik Moore, Don Lemon, Arya Starr, and more to the Jazz At Lincoln Center in NYC.

Other notable guests included Ferg, Nigel Sylvester, Bianca Lawson, Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, and Steven Victor at the buzzy event that brought together some of the biggest creatives in every industry.

Splashed with color and many of our favorite hits of the past few decades, Piece By Piece soars as a unique cinematic experience that takes audiences on a vibrant journey through the LEGO-fied life of Pharrell Williams.

Told through the lens of LEGO animation, the inspirational film showcases the culture-shifting hitmaker’s highest highs and lows with perfectly placed appearances by Jay Z, Timbaland, Kendrick Lamar, Missy Elliott, Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes, Daft Punk, Gwen Stefani, Justin Timberlake, and many more.

In an interview with USA Today, Pharrell opened up about the movie-of-the-moment that allowed him to let go of his insecurities.

“I’ve never really believed in myself,” he admitted. “But you won’t think you’re good enough when your fears and your flaws and your insecurities and the pressure that you might feel from other people wanting you to do things another way… when you allow those things to sort of enslave you and colonize your mind, you won’t have enough belief in yourself.

“This movie was about me letting all those things go. It was like this crazy therapeutic exercise of letting all of it go.”
