The 2024 presidential election is just 25 days away and the race is tighter than a pair of Young Thug’s skinny jeans—it’s time to turn up the pressure and ensure that Donald Trump and his couch-canoodlin’ cohort JD Vance don’t become the Joker and Harley Quinn of Washington, D.C. To that end, former President Barack Obama hopped on the campaign trial in Pittsburgh to stump for Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor Tim Walz to become POTUS and VPOTUS and he was in rare form.
Barry O spent the first few minutes of his time joking, mocking, and admonishing Donald Trump for, well…everything that Donald Trump says and does—a relatively standard practice.
Once the fun and games were over, President Obama’s tone shifted to an annoyed, incredulous, even angry. It’s not often that you hear seething from the man who is critically acclaimed as one of the best orators alive but it was palpable as Obama tore into Vice President Harris’ opponent’s abhorrent behavior and general ineptitude.
Obama was clearly feeling a type of way prior to this speech. Prior to taking the stage, he appeared at a local Pittsburgh Harris-Walz campaign office where he asked the sparse group of mostly Black staff to oblige him while he “speaks some truths”.
The 44th President of the United States of America went on to call a thing “a thing” and directly addressed the polling stating that VP Harris is hemorrhaging support from the Black male demographic. He minced no words.
“And you are thinking about sitting out? Part of it makes me think — and I’m speaking to men directly — part of it makes me think that, well, you just aren’t feeling the idea of having a woman as president, and you’re coming up with other alternatives and other reasons for that.”
