5 Amazing Black Metal Albums You Might’ve Missed in 2025

Snoop Dogg has revealed yet another “big name” that will appear on his forthcoming album with Dr. Dre, Missionary.

During an interview at the Bloomberg Screentime conference in Los Angeles on Thursday (October 10), Tha Doggfather continued to tease the project’s star-studded supporting cast.

“This new record is gonna put me in a position to probably have that final big stadium tour ’cause there’s a lot of features on this record that I’m excited about that are big-name artists,” he said.

“I got a feature from Jelly Roll and Sting. I’m so happy that me and Sting got a record that’s so good.”

Snoop continued to gush over working with the British rock legend: “We hung out and we chilled. It was like a child that’s infatuated with somebody as a singer and you get a chance to meet them and they give you everything that you expected.”

As for his long-standing partnership with Dre, Snoop said: “It’s a collaboration of two friends who genuinely love each other and we know we’re better together. can make good music, but when I’m with Dr. Dre, I make great music.”

He also shed light on the making of Missionary, likening it to his early career when Dre would take the reins in the studio.

“In my mind, I made it up that I’m gonna go back to being Snoop Doggy Dogg,” the rap legend said. “I want to be the student, the kid, the passenger. I want to humble myself and go in the studio and allow him to tell me what I need to do and produce me.

“You discovered me when I was a rock, you created this diamond, so I’ma allow you to shine it one more time.”

Though the Jelly Roll feature is new information, Dr. Dre previously let slip Sting’s appearance on Missionary back in August during an interview with Entertainment Tonight.

“There’s a song, we have Sting on the song,” he told the outlet. “Man, it’s an amazing roster of artists that’s on this album. I shouldn’t have revealed that, to be honest.”

Dre also teased that the album will feature vocals from himself, in addition to production: “I actually did a couple of songs, I’m not sure if one of them’s gonna make it or not. I produced the entire album but vocally, I think, only one of them is gonna make it.”

Last month, Method Man confirmed that he, too, has a guest verse on Missionary.

In a live interview with Drink Champs at REVOLT WORLD in Atlanta, the Wu-Tang Clan legend said: “Every time I work with Dre, I feel like I need a do-over. The first time I was in the studio with him physically there, that chronic [hits] different. I spit a verse but it wasn’t up to par for me, so Dre was gracious enough not to put it out.

“The second shot I got is for the Dre and Snoop joint coming up. Woo! He got a lot of fire shit on there, man.”

Despite his excitement, the Tical MC was self-critical of his contribution, adding: “And still, I feel like I could have done a little bit more, but I’m always gonna feel that way.”
