Lala Kent Dishes on Scene She Begged to be Cut From Vanderpump Rules, Admits She’s “Embarrassed” and Shares Regret From Show

Lala Kent revealed a scene that was cut concerning her split with Randall Emmett. The star said she was “defeated” at the time, and she’s now “embarrassed” to have filmed with him throughout Vanderpump Rules.

Lala, who shares a child with her ex, broke up with him before suggesting he cheated. Although their relationship was hidden from cameras for two years, he became a recurring castmate when they finally went public.

In her “Give Them Lala” podcast, Lala addressed an unaired scene concerning her split with Randal. She claimed it was one of the most difficult she ever filmed.

“I remember going into an interview, and I was just so defeated but had to be, like, a soldier,” she said of the confessional on season 9, filmed shortly after the breakup.

She said producers knew “what was going on” at the time.

“I will forever love production for this because, production said, ‘Do you remember the scene of you and that guy at James [Kennedy] and Raquel [Leviss]’s engagement party?’” Lala told her listeners, via Us Weekly. “’You guys have a moment, you and that guy, about your wedding being canceled. Take what we know out of it, can you relive that and talk about that in real-time?’”

Lala said the question shook her because the split was still fresh.

“I broke down. I said, ‘I physically cannot get myself to talk about that. I cannot take myself to a place of feeling how I thought I felt about him,’” said the star, who shared that producers “didn’t make me do it.”

“They cut out the whole scene” because Lala was “sobbing” even thinking about it.

“I was like, ‘I know what you want me to do and normally I can do it, [but] I can’t do it,’” she recalled. “I was just broken … I will forever be thankful that they were like, ‘Great, let’s not f—ing do it then.’”

Reflecting on that time on the show, she shared that she has “regret” over having her ex on the show.

“Because it reminds people that I went there. I’m a little embarrassed,” she explained. “I’m like, how did this happen? And it really doesn’t feel good when my mom goes, ‘What were you thinking?’”

Besides this part of her past, Lala said she’s happy that she’s been so open on Pump Rules.

“I feel like I’m showing my life and it’s very much real. The parts of my life that are more private are not shown [but] I’ve shown pretty much everything,” Lala expressed. “I’ve had to confront my demons. … I got sober on the show. I lost my dad on the show.”

Vanderpump Rules is currently on pause.
