Here’s the announcement trailer for Star Wars: Episode 1: Jedi Power Battles, which is an enhanced version of the original 2000 Star Wars game of the same name.
Star Wars: Episode 1: Jedi Power Battles was originally created by LucasArts and released on the PS1, Sega Dreamcast, and Game Boy Advance. It wasn’t exactly a big hit, but it’s getting a new life for it’s 25th anniversary.
In the game, “Use your Force powers and your trusty lightsaber to ward off destroyer droids, battle droids, assassins, and other enemies from Star Wars: The Phantom Menace as you work to take back the Theed Royal Palace.
“Play as Obi-Wan Kenobi, Mace Windu, Plo Koon, Adi Gallia, or Qui-Gon Jinn, or choose one of the previously locked characters, including Darth Maul, Captain Panaka, Queen Amidala, Ki-Adi Mundi, and the Battle Droid, now available from the start of the game.”
The official description reads: “Take back the Theed Palace in this fast and furious lightsaber action game. You will have the power of the Force and your trusty lightsaber to help you ward off legions of battle droids, destroyer droids, assassins, and other creatures from Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.”
The re-release will include two-player couch co-op and a new game plus mode. Meanwhile, players will have the option to use new, modern controls or use the classic controls.
Star Wars: Episode I: Jedi Power Battles is released on January 23, 2025 for PS5 (PlayStation 5), PS4 (PlayStation 4), Xbox consoles, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
