Disney Finds Next Big Fantasy Franchise Following Huge Bidding War

We still have no idea what James Gunn is planning for Wonder Woman in the DCU. While Gal Gadot has insisted that she’ll return as Diana Prince, I just don’t see how that will work as Gunn and Peter Safran have rebooted everything.

He’s already got a new Superman actor with David Corenswet, and he’s going to cast another actor to play Batman. It just makes sense that he will cast a different actress to play Wonder Woman. But, when he does, don’t expect her to tower over Superman and Batman.

There’s no doubt that Gunn has a few ideas in mind about who could play the DCU’s Diana but he recently confirmed that he’ll struggle to adapt the height element of the character for her live-action return.

Wonder Woman is taller than both Superman and Batman in the comics, and a fan asked the filmmaker whether it would be possible for the new Wonder Woman to be taller than those characters.

Seeing as Corenswet stands at 6’4″, Gunn was quick to say that finding a talented actress who is that physically imposing will not be easy. He also explained why Game of Thrones star Gwendoline Christie wouldn’t work in the role.

But, there is an actress that could take on the role with Andor star Adria Arjona, who is a top pick among fans to play the new Wonder Woman… and she stands at 5’7″. So, it’s not impossible.

Are there any actresses that you’d like to see play Wonder Woman in Gunn’s DCU?
