NIS America and Nihon Falcom announced The Legends of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak II‘s U.S. release date. A launch trailer was revealed alongside the announcement.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak II is finally coming stateside on February 14, 2025, for PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The new trailer gives a sneak peak of the upcoming sequel. Check it out below.
“No longer threatened by the mafia organization Almata, the people of Calvard have returned to their peaceful lives,” reads the official synopsis. “But one day, a shocking series of murders involving a mysterious crimson beast sets the wheels of fate in motion once again. Various factions spring into action – both those who abide by the law to uncover the truth and those looking to capitalize on any new developments wherever possible, no matter how sinister. With chaos once again looming on the horizon, the spriggan Van Arkride receives an unexpected visitor, prompting his own investigation.”
The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak II released in Japan for PS4 and PS5 back in 2022. A PC port released in Asia in 2023.
The first entry of Trails Through Daybreak launched in Japan in 2021 for PS4. It eventually got a worldwide release in July 2024 for PS4 and PS5. It garnered generally favorable reviews with an 84 Metacritic. In our review, we gave the game an 8.5 out of 10. Reviewer Tyler Treese said, “Trails Through Daybreak is the strong start to a new chapter that The Legend of Heroes franchise needed.”
The Legend of Heroes franchise is over 30 years old, beginning with Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes. The Trails games are a subseries within that main series, which began with 2004’s The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky. The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak II is the 12th entry in the long running subseries.
