RHONJ Alum Dina Manzo’s ex-husband, Tommy, has been sentenced to seven years in prison for hiring a mobster to assault her current husband David Cantin. As such, the reality star’s fans have been curious to know more details about the incident.

So, here’s what happened to Dina Manzo’s ex-husband, Thomas Manzo.

Dina Manzo’s ex-husband Tommy’s prison sentence explained

As per a press release, the court has sentenced Dina’s ex-husband, Tommy, to seven years in prison for “hiring, then assisting, a soldier in the Lucchese Crime Family to assault his ex-wife’s current husband.” He locked the deal in exchange for putting the mob in a free wedding reception.

Tommy underwent a two-and-a-half week trial at federal court in Newark and was eventually found guilty. Convicted of three felonies, he will serve a total of 84 months in prison. He currently faces charges including aid of racketeering, conspiracy to commit a violent crime in aid of racketeering, and falsifying and concealing documents related to a federal investigation.

After his conviction, Dina took to her Instagram story to share her thoughts on the situation without alluding to Thomas. Her quote read, “I call my power back to me. I call my energy back to me. I call my magic back to me. I am cleansed and disconnected from anything that may drain me.”

The story further reads, “I am shielded from any energy that does not serve me. I am safe. I am protected. I am whole. And it is so” (via People).

Previous reports also accused Tommy of having a part in Dina and Cantin’s home invasion in 2017. The attack left the couple with several injuries, and the perpetrators also stole their personal belongings. Authorities later took James Mainello into custody for his alleged connection to the incident.

‘Bring Them Down’ is probably one of the best films I’ve ever seen. A brutal and believable examination of old family grudges in rural communities. Superbly shot. Sharp and to the point. As beautiful a piece of art as it is a moral reminder of how anger can lose everyone the battle.
