Katie Maloney‘s new boyfriend, Nick Martin, is under fire.
Just after Nick, 41, was confirmed as the mystery man the Vanderpump Rules star is “in love” with, and as Katie’s friends grow concerned about Nick’s rockstar lifestyle, a woman named Brandy Baye has come forward, slamming the Sleeping With Sirens guitarist’s treatment of women and accusing him of cheating on his now-estranged wife, Jenna Martin, after he attempted to silence her.
“Nick Martin collects women, but doesn’t honor them,” Brandy wrote in an October 17 post. “I really, really hope to protect future women from this treatment. I’m over taking the high road and being silenced. So here’s every photo his lawyers told me I couldn’t post.”
Continuing on, Brandy said that Nick not only cheated on his wife with a “mistress,” but he also approved of one of his bandmate’s infidelity.
“He took pride in bashing women, especially those he’s been romantically involved with from his high school girlfriend, to every woman in his 20s, to his wife, to his ‘crazy’ mistress,” she alleged. “Still — I passed this off as scorned ex energy until he started talking about his FRIENDS’ relationships. Every woman he knows, whether it’s his best friend’s wives, or his [bandmates’] wives, is ‘crazy.’ At one point, he told me his friend cheated on his wife (and their small baby) because she was too bitchy to stay with. To point the blame on the mother, rather than the male, infuriated me, and it was the first fight we ever got into.”
Brandy also labeled Nick “a pathological liar,” sharing that he told her he was divorced — even though he had yet to file any documents to end his marriage.
“I remember now being weirded out he didn’t let me in his house the first few weeks we dated. I understand now it’s because his wife wasn’t even fully moved out yet,” she concluded.
In addition to Brandy’s claims against Nick, a recent report has suggested that despite his new romance with Katie being in a good place currently, her friends have compared him to her ex-husband, Tom Schwartz, 42, who cheated on her during their relationship.
“He’s a cool guy and they are like best buds when they hang out, very comfortable with each other,” an insider revealed to The U.S. Sun on October 18. “They bond really deeply over music and have similar tastes, it’s been exciting for her. It’s still new, started over the summer casually but they’re happy and appear to be all-in for now.”
Still, pals worry about Nick’s lifestyle and allegations made against him.
“He’s a touring musician so that will raise problems eventually,” the insider noted. “Some questionable decisions he’s made in the past have also made her friends compare him to Tom Schwartz. They love Katie and they just want to make sure Katie isn’t dating a Schwartz 2.0. Everyone knows she deserves so much better than that.”
But Katie is “a smart woman, she’ll figure it out,” they added.
On her Disrespectfully podcast on Wednesday, Katie confirmed to her listeners that she was “in love” and “really happy.”
“He just makes me feel really special and he’s really special, and yeah, I’m just really, really happy,” she shared.
Vanderpump Rules season 12 is expected to go into production this fall.
