Those Houston girls don’t play fair! Megan Thee Stallion already owns October with her infamous Hottieween party, which is going down in Chicago this year. In addition to several Spooky Season slays, fans can look forward to a new album. Megan took to social media to announce the release date on Friday.
The first self-titled album served a serpentine shedding of the past as Megan triumphantly returned from a hiatus after the Tory Lanez trial. The sexy snake theme gave us titles of heavy hitters like “HISS” and “Cobra.” Who could forget the nearly nude visuals of Meg shedding her clothes and her skin after climbing out the mouth of a cobra?

Real Hotties could’ve clocked this next chapter coming from a mile away. Like her “Savage (Remix)” collaborator Beyoncé, Meg is playing chess, not checkers. Despite the dark, edgy energy of Act I, she dropped hints about the follow-up in her alternate album covers, tour visuals and costumes. Each time, she appeared as a beautiful butterfly.

While fans can’t wait for more music and the metamorphosis, they’re not all feeling the artwork.
Others see the vision and her continued homage to Southern rap royalty like Juvenile, Master P, and her hometown heroes featured on Megan, UGK.
In addition to a second album and Meg’s spooky charity event, her documentary will also be released this month. Megan Thee Stallion: In Her Words will debut on Prime Video on Oct. 31.
“I’m nervous and excited for yall to see it butttt it’s finally here,” she wrote on the announcement earlier this week.
As an artist and a person, Megan is blossoming right in front of our eyes and ears. From international crossover success to hard-hitting collaborations with her rap idols to shutting down awards shows and campaign rallies, it seems like Megan has done it all this year. However, Megan Thee Stallion isn’t letting up anytime soon and we love to see it!
