Alexis Bellino took to her Instagram account on Friday to share the 2018 text she sent to Shannon Beador about her ex-husband Jim Bellino‘s defamation lawsuit against her.
After Shannon, 60, brought up the text from Alexis, 47, on Thursday’s episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County, seemingly proving that Alexis was involved in the case, Alexis denied she’d lied about her role as she noted that the text was not a legal document and insisted she did not support Jim’s decision to sue Shannon and Tamra Judge, 57.
“I AM NOT A LIAR,” Alexis began in her October 18 post. “Yes, I remember this text.”
In the accompanying screenshot, a text to Shannon read, “Everything you and Tamra have said in the media since the divorce are lies. We have engaged an attorney and will be suing you and Tamra for slander and defamation. You’re insensitive and false allegations come at a very difficult time for our family. When you divorced, Jim and I left you alone and never said a negative thing in the media regarding you two. Just know that anything that you or Tamra say from here on out will be included in the lawsuit. You will be hearing from our attorney tomorrow.”
Alexis went on to remind her online audience that “a text is not a legal document.”
She also said that the message she sent to Shannon was not to get the ball rolling on Jim’s lawsuit, which Shannon suggested, but to try and “stop the ball FROM rolling.”
“It was sent to both Tamra and Shannon at Jim Bellino’s request in 2018 with hopes that they would stop attacking our family,” she explained. “And at a time our family was already in shambles from 6 months of our new divorce. Our kids were broken. I never supported Jim suing them and once he began moving forward with the lawsuit, I told him I will neither condone nor support it.”
In closing, Alexis again denied that she was involved in Jim’s case against Shannon and Tamra — and further stated that she is “NOT A LIAR.”
“Be sure to tune into the reunion as further evidence that I’m not a liar is revealed,” she teased.
