Toho Animation has shared the first Dr. Stone Season 4 teaser trailer for the upcoming return of the hit dystopian sci-fi dramedy. Titled as Dr. Stone Science Future, the next installment is currently scheduled to premiere sometime in January 2025, after over a year since the third season wrapped up its 22-episode run.

“Several thousand years after a mysterious phenomenon that turns all of humanity to stone, the extraordinarily intelligent, science-driven boy, Senku Ishigami, awakens. Facing a world of stone and the total collapse of civilization, Senku makes up his mind to use science to rebuild the world. Starting with his super strong childhood friend Taiju Oki, who awakened at the same time, they will begin to rebuild civilization from nothing…Depicting two million years of scientific history from the Stone Age to present day, the unprecedented crafting adventure story is about to begin!,” reads the anime’s official synopsis.

What happens in the Dr. Stone Season 4 trailer?

The video provides fans with a recap of Senku and his Science Kingdom’s journey throughout the series, including some of his incredible inventions. It also teases Senku and the gang’s next adventure, as they sail around the world. They’re on a quest for materials to build a rocket ship, meant to lead them to their enemy’s lair in the moon.

Dr. Stone is based on scribe Riichiro Inagaki and illustration Boichi’s beloved manga series of the same name. The series features the voices of Yūsuke Kobayashi as Senku Ishigami, Makoto Furukawa as Taiju Oki, Kana Ichinose as Yuzuriha Ogawa, Yuichi Nakamura as Tsukasa Shishio, Kengo Kawanishi as Gen Asagiri, Gen Satō as Chrome, Manami Numakura as Kohaku, Karin Takahashi as Suika, Ryōta Suzuki as Ryusui Nanami, and more.
