“I Was Told RHOBH Was Kyle’s Show”

Crystal Kung Minkoff claimed castmates told her it’s “Kyle [Richards’] show” when she first joined Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and she likened the cast to a “sorority” in which she was “hazed.” Meanwhile, a recent report addressed a major update in a lawsuit involving Crystal, her husband Rob Minkoff, and her brother Jeffrey Kung.

In March 2023, a woman named Candice sued Jeffrey, Crystal, and Rob with the allegation that she was disfigured due to a car accident in 2022. According to her claims, Jeffrey rear-ended her while driving the defendants’ car, exited the vehicle, and “admitted he was distracted.” The suit called for damages from the crash.

Crystal exited RHOBH ahead of the upcoming season.

“When I started the show, I was told by the girls, ‘This is Kyle’s show,’” said Crystal on The Viall Files podcast, via @bravosnarkside on Instagram. “They let you know.”

“It’s a sorority,” she went on. “I was being hazed, and she’s like the queen, the den mother, whatever … the president … and she will always be president.”

Around the same time, In Touch reported that Crystal and her husband won’t go to trial for the lawsuit concerning her brother’s alleged car collision because the woman who was suing them dismissed the case.

The outlet obtained court docs indicating that Candice told the court that she was letting go of all claims against Jeffrey, Crystal, and Rob. Initially, a jury trial was scheduled for May 25 of next year.

Candice’s lawsuit previously demanded damages for the alleged “past and future physical pain, mental suffering, loss of enjoyment of life, disfigurement, physical pain, inconvenience, grief, anxiety, humiliation, and emotional distress.”

But Jeffrey, Crystal, and Rob denied any wrongdoing. At the time, their attorney argued, “Defendants allege that if [Candice] suffered or sustained loss, damage or injury as alleged in the complaint, such loss, damage or injury was proximately caused and contributed to by [Candice] in failing to conduct herself in a manner ordinarily expected of a reasonably prudent person in the conduct of their affairs and person. [Candice’s] recovery herein is diminished to the extent that [Candice’s] damages are attributable to [Candice’s] negligence.”
