Jim Bellino has concerns about Alexis Bellino‘s engagement to John Janssen.
After John, 62, proposed to his ex-wife after just nine months of dating, the Real Housewives of Orange County alum appeared on a podcast, where he questioned the couple’s lack of a prenup, wondered why Alexis, 47, returned to the show, and shaded her friendship with Tamra Judge, 57.
“I watched the Watch What Happens Live when [Andy Cohen] asked Alexis about whether she would sign a prenup,” Jim said on the October 15 episode of The Sarah Fraser Show, via E! News. “And I think that was the wrong question. I think Andy should’ve asked if John would sign the prenup.”
According to Jim, he finds him to be “very secretive.”
“What does John do?” he asked. “In all honesty, if it was very vague what I did, I would want to share that, because there shouldn’t be a question what anybody’s motivation is. I hope that he’s successful. I worry about Alexis and I hope that she protects her assets. I hope she makes him sign a prenup. I really do.”
Jim and Alexis, who were married for 13 years before divorcing in 2018, share son James, 18, and 16-year-old twins Mackenna and Miles. And while Jim may not approve of Alexis’ engagement, he confirmed that the two of them co-parent well.
“She’s an amazing mother and I have nothing but good things to say about her as being the mother of my children,” he shared. “[I’m] very, very blessed to have her as the mother of my children. She did a great job.”
Admittedly, however, Jim didn’t understand Alexis’ decision to return to RHOC as a “friend.”
“I haven’t talked to her about it, but I think if you come back, you have to come back as a full cast member and get paid substantially,” he reasoned. “Having nothing to do with me paying alimony. It’s really in your best interest, to not be a friend. It doesn’t make sense financially. And if you’re going to go in, go all in.”
Jim then targeted Alexis’ friendship with Tamra, noting that he does not believe it’s genuine.
“Do I think they are truly friends? No,” he stated. “I think that is a relationship out of convenience for the show.”
