Sage Steele might love Donald Trump’s dirty draws more than she loves her own daddy. Ever since the former ESPN SportsCenter anchor was let go from “the worldwide leader” she has leaned mouth-first into conservative culture war including an enthusiastic full-throated endorsement of the orange man.
Steele has surfboarded Trump so much that she was awarded an up-close and personal opportunity to digest everything coming from his mouth at a town hall campaign event in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. However, as much as Mrs. “Don’t Call Me Black” reveres her fuhrer zaddy, fuhrer zaddy didn’t exactly reciprocate the energy. In fact, much like Thanos, he doesn’t even know who she is.
Trump embarrassingly called Steele “Paige” during their interview where he said, “Thank you very much. Thank you. Let’s have a little fun, Paige. OK?”
She probably went back to her hotel room and wept like an infant child that her idol can’t be bothered to give her the basic respect of knowing her name. Tragic. In fairness, perhaps Trump mixed up Sage’s name not because he doesn’t care or is suffering mental deterioration but because he had baseball on his mind. At one point during the interview, Trump remarked that hall of fame outfielder Stan Musial was in attendance. The thing is, Stan Musial died in 2013. So, no, Stan Musial was not in attendance.
Ruin a Republican’s day on November 5.
