There are many disliked cast members on various Housewives shows, and RHOC is no exception. It seems Alexis Bellino‘s comeback isn’t going the way she and the network hoped, as no one seems to like her on The Real Housewives of Orange County. Now, former RHOBH star Teddi Mellencamp is siding with fans and saying it’s a bit tedious to watch Alexis on the show. She also questions John Janssen‘s previous comments about not wanting fame.
Alexis joined RHOC during the show’s fifth season, and she departed after season eight. Years later, it was announced that she would make her grand return to the series in a ‘friend of’ role, which some fans were initially excited about. Many viewers enjoyed her presence on the premiere episode for season 18. However, this quickly changed, and Alexis has now gone as far as to disable comments on her social media posts due to online hate.
Now, Teddi and Tamra Judge are talking to Page Six about their upcoming live podcast shows, and during the discussion, the topic of Housewives came up. Regarding Alexis, Teddi said, “But it’s a big no for me on Alexis. It’s a big no.” She then admitted that Alexis is “hard to watch” on RHOC.
Teddi went on to side with the RHOC cast members and fans by saying, “Her fighting John’s battles is disturbing to me.”
Alexis’ fiance, John, has also publically said that he does not want fame. In fact, Alexis has even stated that he offered to pay her what Bravo planned to pay for her not to do the show.
About John’s declaration that he doesn’t want fame, Teddi said, “I think that John saying he doesn’t want to be in the limelight or famous or wants to be kept out of it or whatever it may be, I think is complete and utter bulls—t.”
She added, “If you don’t want to be a part of something, you’re not a part of it … You don’t want to be famous? Don’t date two girls in the public eye.”
Tamra came to Alexis defense a bit by saying, “The whole John of it all is I think where it gets all kind of messy. It’s really a no-win situation. Alexis came in and there’s no way that she could win. She’s dating Shannon’s ex-boyfriend.”
Tamra added, “Obviously, [Mellencamp is] looking at it as a viewer. I know Alexis in a different manner.”
Teddi then shared how she believes Alexis could win over the RHOC fans.
“She could win by saying, ‘Shannon, I’m really sorry. I can imagine how bad this is freaking hurting you.’”
The former RHOBH star also admitted that Alexis is actually a fun person and discussed previously socializing with her. She said, “We all went to a concert together. Alexis was fun, she was self-deprecating, I enjoyed her. So I’m not trying to dog her out but what I’m watching is a different Alexis and [she’s] so unable to see her own self for her flaws or for the things that she’s doing.”
Teddi added, “That’s hard for me to watch.”
