10 Celebrities Who Love Polyamorous Relationships

In the last few years, more and more celebrities have been coming out about their explorations in relationships outside of monogamy. Many – even some that choose to be in a relationship with one person – feel that that form of a relationship can have too many rules and is too restrictive. Others believe that they can connect to multiple different people and want a relationship that will allow them the freedom to do that. 

Some people go all in with polyamory and others have delved into it but have since evolved their relationships back to monogamy or something else. So here are eight celebrities who do not believe in monogamy. 

1. Willow Smith

While she typically keeps her love life pretty secretive, Willow Smith did inform fans in 2021 that she preferred polyamory. 

In an episode of Red Table Talk with her mother Jada Pinkett Smith, Willow said, “With polyamory, I feel like the main foundation is the freedom to be able to create a relationship style that works for you and not just stepping into monogamy because that’s what everyone around you says is the right thing to do. So, I was like, ‘How can I structure the way that I approach relationships with that in mind?’” 

Upon learning that infidelity was the main reason for divorce, the singer gave another example where a polyamorous relationship could be useful. 

“I mean, I’ll give you an example. Let’s say you haven’t always been the kind of person that wanted to have sex all the time, but your partner is. Are you gonna be the person to say, you know, ‘Just because I don’t have these needs, you can’t have them either?’ And so that’s kind of one of the reasons why I actually was interested in poly because I was introduced to it through kind of a nonsexual lens.”
