Ayesha Howard, the Instagram model speculated to be the mother of a child with Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards, reportedly welcomed a daughter this month. The joyful arrival follows Edwards’ recent court filing, in which he requested a DNA test to confirm the paternity of the child they may have conceived together.
On Oct. 23, Howard took to Instagram to announce the birth of her daughter, according to Page Six. The Instagram baddie shared several photos of herself donning a purple maternity dress, her hair slicked back with a headband and flaunting her massive baby bump. The carousel also contained a sonogram image of her baby girl.
“Golden girls,” she captioned the post, noting that her daughter arrived on “10/14.” Howard continued to share more details about her delivery on her Instagram Story, writing that while her delivery was “painful” she was able to knock the grueling process out in “15 minutes.” Howard made no mention of Edward’s name in her post, but the mother added that she would tell fans more about her birthing experience at a later date.
Edwards requested for a DNA test for Howard and her child in September.
The good news comes almost one month after Edwards, 23, filed a petition against Howard for paternity and child support in September. In his request filed last month, the NBA star demanded that the court issue genetic testing for Howard and her child.
“If genetic testing shows that the petitioner is the father, the petitioner requests an order establishing the minor child’s paternity,” the documents stated, according to Page Six.
Us Weekly reported that Edwards filed a new motion on Oct. 15, the day after Howard gave birth, requesting that DNA testing be conducted by a “neutral and licensed laboratory,” for accuracy. If the results confirmed his paternity, he requested a court order to establish his parental rights and arrange for child support. A status conference for the case is scheduled for Nov.13, Page Six noted.

Howard already shares a young son, named Jason, with rap star Lil Baby. Rumors suggest Edwards has recently welcomed at least three children. On March 2, Edwards reportedly welcomed a baby girl with his longtime girlfriend, Shannon, making headlines when he left a Timberwolves game at halftime to be by her side during the delivery, Us Weekly noted.
Shannon’s delivery allegedly followed one year after beauty influencer Daja allegedly gave birth to a daughter, Aris, with the basketball player in September 2023. According to reports, Daja did not disclose or mention Edwards at the time of her delivery announcement.
Adding another layer to his family story, a woman named Ally D came forward in July 2024, alleging that Edwards has been an absent father to her son, Amir, who was allegedly born just before his daughter with Daja. It’s unclear how Edwards met Daja, Ally D, or Howard.
