The Major Change Made to ‘Wicked: For Good’

It’s almost Halloween and I love this spooky time of year! I tend to watch a lot of horror movies during the spooky season, some I’m discovering for the first time, and others I just like to rewatch because they’re so good!

Anyway, I thought it would be fun to ask you all what your favorite fun horror movie of all time is. Whether you love psychological thrillers that mess with your mind or you’re a die-hard fan of slashers that keep you on the edge of your seat, every horror lover has that one movie that stands above the rest.

You know the one, the film that first scared you silly, kept you up at night, or left such a lasting impression that you keep coming back to it every Halloween.

The horror genre is packed with films that have left audiences terrified and thrilled for decades. Some are groundbreaking because of their filmmaking techniques and suspense, while others are unforgettable due to their iconic monstrous villains or wild twists.

Maybe your pick is an underrated movie that deserves more attention, or maybe it’s one of the all-time greats that redefined horror for a whole generation. Either way, we want to know: What is your favorite horror movie of all time, and why does it stand out to you?

Are you a fan of creature features, haunted houses, body horror, or psychological terror? Does your pick have an incredible villain or monster? Or maybe it’s the atmosphere and slow-burning dread that makes it your go-to horror flick.

Let’s get the conversation started! Drop your favorite horror film in the comments and tell us why it holds the top spot in your horror-loving heart. Bonus points if you tell us about your first time watching it or if it holds a special memory for you!

I know this can be a hard question to answer because there are so many great horror movies, it’s hard to pick one! I’ll start… and it may not come as a surprise to anyone who reads the site, but mine is Trick ‘r Treat.

I like the anthology format that interweaves multiple stories in one cohesive narrative, creating a tapestry of Halloween horror. Each segment ranging from werewolves to serial killers, to vengeful spirits—explores different aspects of Halloween traditions.

It’s fun how these tales overlap and connect in subtle ways. Director Michael Dougherty masterfully balances the tone of the film, blending creepy atmospheres, dark humor, and gruesome violence, making every moment feel both fun and unsettling.

The storytelling technique keeps viewers engaged, as each story feels like a fresh take while still maintaining a sense of mystery and dread that ties them all together.

Trick ‘r Treat also shines through its iconic imagery and unforgettable characters, particularly Sam, the small, pumpkin-headed figure who acts as a symbol of Halloween’s dark spirit.

The film embraces Halloween’s festive yet eerie mood, playing with familiar holiday motifs like jack-o’-lanterns, costumes, and candy, all twisted into a terrifying lens.

Its respect for the lore and rules of the holiday adds creepy elements. I love how it perfectly captures the spirit of Halloween, blending tradition with terror in a way that remains timeless and rewatchable every year.

Whether you’re into classic horror or something more off the beaten path, this is your chance to celebrate the movies that made you scream. Share your favorite!
