Craig Conover and Paige DeSorbo are one of those reality TV couples that many fans can’t help but root for. He stars on Southern Charm while she’s a Summer House favorite, but their paths often cross on their respective shows. Now, Craig is opening up about why they’re not rushing to move in with each other and their plans to start a family. Plus, he teases a bit of tension in season 10 of his hit Bravo show.
Craig and Paige started dating in October 2021 and made their romance official on Instagram just a month later. Since then, fans of these shows have wondered when they’ll take the next step and tie the knot. Despite this, both Bravo stars have held firm that they would do it when the time was right. Currently, he lives in South Carolina, and she lives in New York.
Craig recently spoke to Page Six and discussed what it means to be in a long-distance relationship. According to him, “I think a lot of people, when they hear long-distance, they think that it means that we don’t see each other a lot. But, Paige and I basically live together, and we just live in two different places.”
He continues, “She does say that she sees me more than she saw some boyfriends that lived in New York City because of the commute [across boroughs.]”
He then discusses the difficulties of their relationship and the joy they each experience from seeing each other succeed.
Craig says, “It’s neat to be able to root for each other. And that doesn’t mean it’s not difficult sometimes. I think we’re in a fortunate place that we love being together, but that doesn’t mean that the challenges of being apart is something that we’re figuring out. Like, no one knows what they’re doing.”
He then discusses how they want to have a family someday.
“One day, we want to get married and have a family, and we’re just in a unique spot that we’ve embraced, like, ‘We’re two very career-driven people.’”
He adds, “We both love where we live, and we don’t know what’s coming next, but we’d rather go through those challenges with the right person than with the wrong person.”
Craig also says that fans will see Paige in the upcoming season of Southern Charm.
In other Craig news, he also teased the new season of his show and discussed the tension fans can expect with OK Magazine. Specifically, there’s tension with Austen Kroll.
He first talks about dealing with the different personalities on the show by saying, “Everyone’s just different. I think I’ve learned a lot of patience in the latter years of my life. I think our work ethics are different, and I think you’ll see that brings challenges to the relationship.”
The Southern Charm star explains, “You’ll see it this upcoming season — and you’ll see it as we continue to live our lives. I don’t know if there’s a right or wrong. I think there are differences in people. I think when you work together as closely as we have been, those tensions are going to be harder and harder to sweep under the rug. So, that’s definitely something to look forward to.”
Despite their tensions, Craig and Austen are opening a bar together. He says, “I feel very confident with it. I’m excited to share it with everyone.”
Of course, the idea of him popping the question to Paige also came up. He responded by saying, “I think we’re trying to figure it out. We obviously love each other a ton. We’re both really having fun with our careers right now. I think when that slows down a little bit, we’ll have some more time for family.”
Fans can expect to see Southern Charm season 10 begin in December. Craig’s Sweing Down South company also has a colaboration with Kroger.
