Yandy and Mendeecees are not letting cheating rumors get in the middle of their happy union and they’re shrugging off the allegations as a couple.
During the most recent episode of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, their co-star/the mother of Kirk Frost’s Jasmine Bleu attempted to create tension in the couple’s marriage by claiming she knew a woman who had been secretly involved with Mendeecees for “awhile” but was too “scared to come forward.” The situation escalated further when newbie Erica Racine intervened, accusing Yandy of turning a blind eye to Mendeecees’ alleged infidelity. She also claimed that her husband had slept with “everybody” in Atlanta, a rumor that almost resulted in a physical fight between the ladies.
Yandy And Mendeecees Addressed Infidelity Rumors At One Music Fest
Despite these dramatic claims, Mendeecees and Yandy remain committed to each other. During an interview at the One Music Fest on Oct. 27, Yandy stated that the rumors and the confrontation with Erica and Jasmine were behind them and that she refused to let the drama affect her seemingly happy marriage.
“That has been our story. People been trying to come [at us] forever,” Yandy told The Neighborhood Talk, noting how she and Mendeecees had been married for 18 and a half years, to which her husband joked was “too long.”
The reporter highlighted that a number of fans were disappointed with the couple for choosing to walk away from their confrontation with Bleu and Racine instead of confronting the cheating allegations head-on. Despite the backlash, Yandy defended their decision, stating that she felt they handled the situation appropriately.
“Life has moved on since. But it got a little crazy that night. I’m glad they bleeped some things out,” the Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta cast member added.
In the comments section, while some fans expressed relief at seeing the couple move beyond the cheating allegations, others criticized Mendeecees for his minimal response during the interview and his failure to defend himself.
“When a woman is loud and leading for a quiet man she’s losing. A man would have spoken and made you feel protected and validated,” one user wrote.
Another person penned;
“The way he barely responded lets me know everything.”
Mendeecees Also Cleared Up Rumors Connected To A Mystery Woman On His Snapchat
While Mendeecees may have been brief with his words during the interview, the reality TV star and father was much more outspoken on Oct. 24.
He took to Snapchat to address a video he had posted, which featured a woman in tight, patterned flared pants glancing at the camera and appearing to put on a subtle show with her copious cakes. Some fans speculated that the video was of the woman who had alleged a romance with him, but Mendeecees quickly set the record straight, shutting down the hearsay.
“I take viral videos and repost and make money off of other ppl content. Snapchat pay better than Instagram and YouTube,” he wrote.
Yandy also stepped in to defend her man.
“…That’s how we pay our mortgage and car notes. Snap pays well. Please go look at his Snap 32 more times. Lol ain’t that right @mendeecees,” she penned.
