Alexis Bellino is continuing to defend herself against Shannon Beador‘s claims regarding her alleged involvement in Jim Bellino‘s 2018 defamation lawsuit against her.
As the Real Housewives of Orange County cast member also revealed that she attempted to convince fiance John Janssen, 62, to settle his $75,000 lawsuit against Shannon, 60, and Shannon insisted that she received a cease and desist from her years ago, Alexis, 47, suggested it was Shannon’s fault that she keeps getting sued. Plus, Tamra Judge, 57, defended Alexis, stating that her name was not on any court documents pertaining to Jim’s case.
“Anyone would say that it’s odd that Alexis has been around two men [who] have sued Shannon. I would say, ‘Yeah, it’s kind of crazy,’ But if she cleans up her act a little bit then these things wouldn’t happen,” Alexis stated during an October 17 interview with Bravo HQ. “And I had nothing to do with either.”
Looking back, Alexis said she reached out to Shannon and Tamra after they spoke negatively about Jim’s businesses on Heather McDonald‘s podcast.
“My ex calls me and he’s super upset and he’s just like, ‘Will you send them a text and just tell them that my attorney’s gonna reach out and just let them know?’ I said, ‘I want nothing to do with this. I don’t agree with it.’ He asked me to send some more texts. I’m like, ‘I’m out. I’m not a part of this.’ There is no court document that you will ever find my name on,” she shared. “I don’t even know how I got Shannon’s cell phone because I didn’t know her. But I know the other Housewives so someone probably gave me.”
In her text, Alexis recalled that she told the ladies, “Please just shut your mouth and this will be happening. Our attorney will be contacting you.”
While many believe that Shannon’s issue with Alexis is her relationship with John, who Shannon dated for years before they struck up a romance, she has insisted that the real problem is Alexis’ ties to Jim’s lawsuit against her.
“I really have zero interest in becoming friends with a woman who started the ball rolling on the defamation lawsuit that I had against her ex-husband [Jim Bellino]. I lost $300,000 defending myself and I didn’t do anything wrong,” she noted. “I won the case and the appeal.”
“Alexis denied that she wrote a letter. [But] I have it. Alexis denies that she was involved in it at all but she did send a cease and desist-type letter to me and I have it. So you did [lie],” she added.
Still, Tamra said that since Alexis and Jim weren’t together when he sued her and Shannon, she doesn’t think that Alexis was involved.
“I’m sure he’s like, ‘Can you say this, this, and that?’ That was it,” Tamra stated. “Alexis wasn’t really involved in it. It was her ex-husband that filed it. Her name was not on it. There was nothing.”
Also during the interview, Alexis confirmed that she told John to settle his case against Shannon when she offered him a portion of what he believed he was owed.
“I did tell him to settle when she offered $45,000,” Alexis revealed. “He’s like, ‘That’s not enough. She owes me $75.’ I don’t blame him that he’s like, ‘Just pay me what you owe me.’ And that’s it. That’s all he wants.”
