Channing Tatum and Zoë Kravitz will share the screen again after they called off their engagement.
Shortly after news broke in October 2024 that Tatum and Kravitz broke up, it was revealed that they had both been cast in the alien action flick Alpha Gang.
Tatum and Kravitz met on the set of another movie, 2024’s Blink Twice, when it was filmed back in 2021. The psychological thriller, originally titled Pussy Island, was Kravitz’s directorial debut.
“You want to keep it sacred and private as long as you can. So that you don’t have to even think about what the world thinks about it,” Kravitz told GQ in a November 2022 profile of their low-key relationship. “[Channing is] just a wonderful human. He makes me laugh and we both really love art and talking about art and the exploration of why we do what we do. We love to watch a film and break it down and talk about it and challenge each other.”

Tatum, who shares daughter Everly with ex-wife Jenna Dewan, and Kravitz sang each other’s praises throughout the Blink Twice press tour in August 2024. Soon after, their real-life relationship “fizzled fast.”
“Wedding plans were looming, but neither of them were rushing to the altar,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly following the split. “Ultimately once the project ended, they realized they were on different pages with what they wanted. It fizzled fast after their press tour wrapped.”

What Is ‘Alpha Gang’ About?
The film, an alien invasion comedy, is directed by brothers Ethan and David Zellner and produced by Cate Blanchett. According to a logline, Alpha Gang follows a group of alien invaders after they are sent to conquer Earth while disguised in human form as a 1950s-era biker gang.
Who Else Is Starring in ‘Alpha Gang?’
n addition to Tatum and Kravitz, Blanchett headlines Alpha Gang. The cast is rounded out by Dave Bautista, Steven Yeun, Léa Seydoux and Riley Keough.
“These stellar new recruits are a powerhouse of comedic talent, adding even more excitement to this eagerly awaited film,” Fionnuala Jamison, the managing director of production company mk2 Films, said in a statement shared in October 2024. “This cast, just like the story and its filmmakers, is out of this world.”
Tatum, for his part, celebrated his casting by sharing a screenshot of a Deadline report on his Instagram Story.
