Jennifer Lopez’s New Netflix Movie Gets Release Date, First Look

The Scary Movie franchise will live on with a new film project and it’s been confirmed that Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, and Keenen Ivory Wayans will return to develop it.

The horror-comedy films are known for their wild parodies of popular horror, thriller, and supernatural films. The first installment debuted in 2000, and each film in the franchise satirizes iconic movies like Scream, The Exorcist, The Ring, and Saw, blending slapstick humor with exaggerated, over-the-top scares.

The movies are filled with pop culture references and absurd humor, and they poke fun at horror clichés, often featuring bumbling characters who find themselves in ridiculous, horror-inspired situations.

Miramax head Jonathan Glickman said in a statement: “We are thrilled to reunite Scary Movie with the Wayans brothers, the brilliant creators behind the beloved franchise.

“The timing is perfect to bring back the series to the big screen and we’re lucky to have Keenen, Marlon and Shawn’s unique comedic vision bringing it to audiences around the world.”

Marlon, Shawn and Keenen Wayans added: “We couldn’t be more excited to be a part of the new Scary Movie and work with each other again. This is a franchise we created more than 20 years ago.

“We remember people laughing in the aisles and hope to see that happen again. We look forward to working with Jonathan Glickman and his team at the new Miramax to bring these laughs to theaters, where they belong. It’s a double reunion.”

Thetr are plenty of new horror films to parody in a new Scary Movie flick, and I’m sure it will end up delivering fun entertainment for audiences.
